Restoring the Hazel Coppicing in Spurrell's Wood

We've had two work-parties at Sustead Common this week - one planned, the other not! On Tuesday we started the process of restoring the Hazel coppicing in Spurrell's Wood and doing some preparatory work for the construction of the bird screen on the Common side. Today we received a large delivery of timber which, having unloaded it, we decided to start using! By the end of a fairly strenuous morning's session we'd managed to get all the uprights in position - giving a good impression of what the final structure will look like.
