Gur Beck in spate

Gur Beck was in spate last Sunday after very heavy rain most of the day. The new pond near the bird hide in Spurrell’s Wood was very full and the scrape on the Surveyor’s Allotment predictably very full. However, the beck was most dramatic with the brown water nearly covering the footbridge between the common and the Allotment and the path leading from the Allotment alongside the beck totally covered.
