Viewing screen - ready to view

The near-finished article - just a bit of snagging still to do

This morning we finished-off the wildlife viewing screen at Sustead Common. It's only taken three or four sessions and is our last major construction project on the site. The viewing screen, which is located in a 'quiet zone' at the south end of The Common, overlooks the bird-feeding station, Gur Beck and the winter scrape beyond. There are also long-range views over adjacent farmland to the east. It should allow close-up viewing of wildlife on the site, has been designed to be 'kid-friendly' and hopefully will be well used. A huge thanks to the team, who worked in some pretty miserable conditions at times to get the job done.
