Norfolk has drawn me back after nearly 30 years spent living in Yorkshire. My career in Academic Libraries took me around the world but in Norfolk I am surrounded by the familiar landscapes, places, buildings and people that provide a real sense of belonging. Growing up near North Walsham, I spent my younger days walking and cycling. Student holidays usually involved back-packing and walking a long-distance path while, in my working life, I enjoyed expeditions and motorcycle journeys to some wilder shores. I owe my late Father thanks for all he taught me about exploring the micro and macro elements of our precious earth.

With experience in the charities sector gained throughout my professional life, I will embrace working with the other Trustees to continually grow active membership and interest in the essential work of the Felbeck Trust, especially in my role as Secretary.
