John Rea

Vice Chair

My academic background is a geology and geography degree from University College London which was utilised for a number of years in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Land Drainage Department, followed by somehow getting involved in accountancy, installing financial systems as a project manager. I took this into a 25-year career in Natwest Bank, becoming a senior programme manager.

Now retired, I have got back to my real passion for nature conservation and habitat management by volunteering as a Reserve Guide at Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley Marshes, Holkham Estate and National Trust Norfolk Coast.

From a strong project management background, I am still keen on helping to get different community teams and organisations to co-operate for a mutually beneficial end for wildlife, which is one of the key aims of the Felbeck Trust.

One of my duties in the Trust is to collate the records of fauna and flora that have been found on our sites by our band of monitoring helpers.
