Open Day - is a great success
Extending our range of wildlife interest and knowledge - Perry's moth-trapping display
On Sunday it was our Open Day at Sustead Common & Spurrell's Wood. We had 35 - 40 visitors, did four guided walks around the wood and raised over £130 - a great success. Perry's moth-trapping display stand attracted plenty of interest, whilst wildlife highlights included Nuthatch in Spurrell's Wood - a site 'tick', several juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker around the feeders and Southern Hawker dragonfly. Our next event, run in conjunction with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, will be on Sunday 30th September - part of the Commons Week celebrations.
