Fixing the last bat box at West Beckham Common

Felbeck Trust volunteers did their bit this morning, in less than pleasant weather, to support of the BTO's National Nest-box Week. We put up a variety of open-fronted and hole boxes along with a couple of clusters of bat boxes, around the site at West Beckham Green. As I walked through Spurrell's Wood this morning, to collect the nest-boxes, I saw a Blue Tit prospecting one of the boxes we'd put up in the wood, at last year's event. And so the cycle of life continues!
