The Old Allotments, West Beckham - a major habitat restoration project for Felbeck Trust

We've just received written confirmation of a 10 year Management Agreement, from East & West Beckham PC, for the restoration and management of four acres of former allotments. This project is a major step forward for Felbeck Trust and will extend our expertise in managing specific habitats for wildlife. The agreement comes with a substantial donation to facilitate the initial restoration work - for which we are most grateful. 'This project' said Felbeck Trust Chair, Trevor Williams 'is a very exciting opportunity to create a four acre haven for wildlife. The nectar-rich flower meadow will, in due course, be home to a wide range of butterflies, dragonflies and insects - helping reboot nature's food-chain and providing a place for birds and other animals to feed, breed and shelter.'
