Twelve hundred trees!

Despite the weather forecast of high winds, rain and a number of organisational challenges, yesterday at Sadler's Wood pocket park, over thirty volunteers from all over North Norfolk, working under the direction of the countryside rangers team, managed to plant an incredible 1200 trees! The trees were a mix of locally sourced and grown deciduous species including Hazel, Beech and Oak which, over time, will replace the majority of conifers planted there 70-100 years ago - better for wildlife and better for the environment. This collaboration between Felbeck Trust and North Norfolk District Council is going great guns and the year-long project is steadily ticking off our habitat and amenity improvement targets. A huge thank you to all those who contributed to making yesterday a great success.
