The Gresham’s Gang

On Friday 4th March Trevor and Sean were joined by three youngsters from Gresham’s school, as part of Felbeck Trust’s aspiration to engage with young people. Trevor gave the three sixth-formers a guided tour of West Beckham Old Allotments, showing them the conservation work that has been done there so far.

Then they set to with tools, a plank, and a couple of tree branches harvested from a fallen Oak at Spurrell’s Wood, to construct a bench by the pond. An hour and a half later, they were able to enjoy a cup of coffee and a doughnut, seated on the fruits of their labour; from left to right: Ben, Felix and Sam, along with Lenny who accompanied the group from Gresham’s.
