Yesterday I received formal confirmation of our grant from the North Norfolk Big Society Fund - which will help significantly in achieving our wildlife conservation and public access arrangements at our Sustead Common site. So a big thank you to all those involved in securing this funding and to the folks at NNDC!
Habitat management work on the site has now come to an end, ahead of the breeding season. However, some selected tasks, properly risk-assessed, will continue through the summer, with the objective of completing the 'defined path' by September.
Species Survey work has already commenced, helping us learn more about the wildlife on the site and, hopefully, how our management work improves their prospects over the years to come.
